People who know me, know I don’t like to stand still. Not only physically, but metaphorically. I am always looking for the next venture, the next idea, the next plan. Not in a crazy entrepreneur way, but in a “I want something new to play with” way.
So it gives me great pleasure to announce the start of the very first Bat Flips and Nerds sub-site – Tuckin’ Hell.
Why the Padres? You may ask. Well, the organisation and it’s very vocal Twitter crowd have kept me very interested in this team over the past six years. Yes it might not be the one to draw the most clicks, but in my mind it’s a team I’ve enjoyed arching, covering and have always found there is a story to be had when you really look at the organisation as a whole.
I had wanted to wait until myself and my fellow co-writer (more on him in the coming days) had built up a bundle of content to launch the site in a oner. However, this evenings news has kind of forced my hand, it’s time to make it official.
For those that read my Padres columns (I see all four of you), it will be a continuation of that trend but away from the “main site”. To give Padres fans (the numbers of which I see growing rapidly in the next few years) a place to read and contribute to this exciting team and it’s future.
Finally, for those wondering about my writing, podcasting and involvement in Bat Flips and Nerds, I’m not going anywhere. Still expect blog posts with ridiculous ideas and incredibly hot takes on the podcast.
Welcome to hell – Tuckin’ Hell.
