What’s the point of the Mets?

(8) They have the most exciting middle infield of all time

In 2017, when Puerto Rico (population 3.1 million) finished runners up to the USA (328 million), they were blessed with two of the most exciting shortstops the game had seen: Francisco Lindor and Javier Báez. The former school friends are reunited in a dynamic double-play tandem for the Mets. Excitement is guaranteed.

As a neutral, the prospect of watching Lindor and Báez together gives Mets games the edge when scanning MLB.tv.

By the way, Puerto Rico’s team also included a third superstar shortstop. I thought I should mention this before Astros’ fans start banging the drum about Carlos Correa.
